How can I find out which version of Windows I’m running?

Windows operating systems are updated over time, and each version of Windows is assigned an identifying number. The version number allows computer users to quickly and easily identify which version of Windows they are running.

To find out which version of Windows you are running, follow the steps below:

1. Open your Start menu by clicking the Start button located in the lower left corner of your screen.

2. Select “Control Panel” from the list of options that appear.

3. In Control Panel, click “System and Security”.

4. Then click “System” from the options that appear.

5. Your version of Windows will be displayed in the “System” window. It will be listed under the heading “Operating System”.

It is also possible to find out which version of Windows you are running through the command line. To do this, open a command prompt window by typing “cmd” into the search bar or run box, depending on your version of Windows.

Once the command prompt window is open, type “ver” and press Enter. This will display the version of Windows you are currently running.

Additionally, if you’re running Windows 7 or newer, you can find the version information by right-clicking on the “My Computer” icon and selecting “Properties”. Under the General tab, you will be able to see the version of Windows you’re running.

Lastly, you can also find out which version of Windows you are running by visiting the Microsoft website and using the “Get Windows Version” tool. Simply type in your product key or email address and the tool will tell you which version of Windows you have installed.
