To check for updates in Windows Control Panel, follow these steps:
1. Open the Control Panel by pressing the Windows key + X then selecting Control Panel.
2. Choose System and Security, then select Windows Update.
3. Select Check for Updates.
4. Windows will then scan your computer for any available updates.
5. If any updates are found, the Check for Updates window will display the list of available updates, their descriptions, and the option to install or hide them.
6. Select Install Updates to begin downloading and installing the updates on your computer.
7. After the installation is complete, you may be prompted to restart your computer.
8. Alternatively, you can select Hide Updates if you would like to keep a particular update from being installed.
9. If you previously marked a particular update as Hidden, you can access it by clicking the ‘Restore hidden updates’ checkbox and then selecting the update.
10. When you are finished, click the Close button.
11. Your computer should now be up to date with all of the necessary security patches and bug fixes.
