To check Windows update settings in the Control Panel, please follow the steps below:

1. Click the Start button on the taskbar and then click Control Panel.

2. In the Control Panel window, click System and Security.

3. In the System and Security window, click Windows Update.

4. On the left pane, click Change settings.

5. The Windows Update settings will be displayed. Here you can see what type of updates you want Windows to install automatically and how often it should check for updates.
