Cleaning dust from the inside of your computer case is an important part of keeping your computer running smoothly and preventing avoidable hardware malfunctions. Dust can cause your computer to overheat, clog up its internal cooling fans, and reduce its performance. To clean the inside of your computer case effectively and safely, follow these steps:

6. Wipe down any visible dust with a soft, lint-free cloth.
7. Clean out any filter screens or vents on the system unit with a soft brush.
8. Reassemble your system unit. Make sure all components are securely seated in their respective slots and that all screws are tightened correctly.
9. Plug all external hardware, drives, and cables back into the system unit.
10. Turn on your system unit and check that everything is functioning correctly.
