How do I configure the display settings in the Windows Control Panel?

1. Open the Windows Control Panel. To do this, click on the Start button and then select the Control Panel option.

2. Once the Control Panel window opens, you will be presented with a list of categories. Click on the one labeled “Appearance and Personalization”.

3. Now click on the link labeled “Adjust screen resolution” under the “Personalization” section.

4. This will bring up the Display Settings window. Here, you can adjust the resolution, the orientation (landscape or portrait), and the number of monitors if your computer has multiple displays attached.

5. To change the resolution, select the drop-down menu next to the “Resolution” option and choose the setting that you would prefer. If you have multiple monitors connected, you can also change the resolution for each monitor independently.

6. To change the orientation, select either “Landscape” or “Portrait” from the drop-down menu next to the “Orientation” option.

7. To change the number of monitors, select the desired number from the drop-down menu next to the “Number of displays” option.

8. When you are done making your changes, click the “Apply” button and then click “OK”. Your new settings will take effect immediately.

9. You can also adjust the brightness and contrast of your display by selecting the “Brightness and Contrast” option at the bottom of the window. Move the sliders to adjust the levels of brightness and contrast as desired.

10. To adjust the color settings of your display, click the “Advanced Settings…” link at the bottom of the window. This will open the Advanced Settings window where you can adjust the color settings for each color channel individually. Move the sliders to adjust the levels of color as desired.

11. When you are done making your changes, click the “Apply” button and then click “OK”. Your new settings will take effect immediately.
