How do I customize my desktop background in Control Panel?

1. To customize your desktop background using Control Panel, you need to open the Control Panel by clicking the Start button and going to either Settings > Control Panel or type ‘Control Panel’ in the search bar.

2. In the Control Panel window, click on Appearance and Personalization.

3. Under the Personalization section, select the Desktop Background option from the list.

4. In the Desktop Background window, you can choose from a variety of pre-loaded backgrounds, or you can choose your own wallpaper.

5. If you want to use a wallpaper of your own choosing, click the ‘Browse’ button, and browse to the location of the image you want to use. Once located, simply double click the image to select it.

6. The image will appear in the Picture Location box. You can also adjust the ‘Position’ of the image; this determines how the image is placed on your screen, whether it is stretched, tiled or centered.

7. You can then click the ‘Save Changes’ button to apply the changes. The new background should now be visible on your desktop.

8. You can also use the options in the ‘Background’ drop-down menu to choose a solid color for your desktop background, or a slide show of your own images.

9. If you are using a slide show, you can customize how the slide show operates. To do this, click the ‘Settings’ button, which is located next to the ‘Background’ selection.

10. Here, you can choose the pictures that you want to include in the slide show. To add pictures to the slide show, simply click the ‘Add’ button, and select the image you want to add.

11. Once you have made all your changes, click the ‘Save Changes’ button to save them. Your new desktop background will now be visible on your screen.
