How do I identify and uninstall unnecessary programs running in the background?

1. Use System Configuration: To access System Configuration on Windows, press the Windows key + R, type msconfig, and then hit enter. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog, you can see all of the background services running on your computer. You can select any of the services and click Stop to temporarily stop it from running or select the service and click Disable to prevent the service from starting up when your computer boots up.

2. Use Task Manager: To access the Task Manager on Windows, press the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys at the same time. Go to the Processes tab, which will show all the processes running on your computer. You can right-click and select End process to stop the program from running.

3. Uninstall Unnecessary Programs: You can uninstall any unnecessary programs by going to the Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program. From here, you can select the program you want to uninstall and click Uninstall.
