There are two ways to uninstall a program from Windows. The first method is to use the Control Panel, and the second is to use the “Add or Remove Programs” tool.
Uninstalling a Program with the Control Panel
1. Open the Control Panel. To do this, click on the Start button and then select Settings > Control Panel.
2. Inside the Control Panel, choose the category of “Programs”. Depending on your version of Windows, this may be listed as “Uninstall a Program” or “Add/Remove Programs”.
3. You should now see a list of all your installed programs. Find the one you wish to uninstall and click on it.
4. You should now see an “Uninstall” or “Remove” option. This will launch an uninstall wizard which will guide you through the process of uninstalling the program.
5. Follow the instructions provided by the wizard. Depending on the program, you may have to confirm your remove requests multiple times.
6. Once the uninstall wizard has finished, you can quit the Wizard and close the Control Panel.
Uninstalling a Program with the “Add or Remove Programs” Tool
1. Open the “Add or Remove Programs” tool. To do this, click on the Start button, select Settings, and then select “Add or Remove Programs” or “Programs and Features” (depending on your version of Windows).
2. You should now see a list of all your installed programs. Find the one you wish to uninstall and click on it.
3. You should now see an “Uninstall” or “Remove” option. This will launch an uninstall wizard which will guide you through the process of uninstalling the program.
4. Follow the instructions provided by the wizard. Depending on the program, you may have to confirm your remove requests multiple times.
5. Once the uninstall wizard has finished, you can quit the Wizard and close the “Add or Remove Programs” window.
It’s possible that some programs may not appear in either of these methods. If this is the case, then you may need to refer to the program’s documentation for specific instructions on how to uninstall the program.
