What options are available in the Network and Internet settings?

1. Network and Sharing Center: This area allows users to change network and sharing settings, manage advanced networking features and control security options. It also allows users to view available networks, change network adapters, set up a new connection or network, connect to a wireless network, view and change network adapter settings, check firewall status, configure DNS and IP addresses, and manage Windows domain settings.

2. Wi-Fi: This section allows users to manage their wireless networks, choose which networks to connect to, view connection details including strength, profile name, speed, and network type, manage advanced Wi-Fi settings such as turning on/off Wi-Fi Sense and setting the maximum transmit power for connected networks, enable or disable connections to specific networks and enable or disable sharing of files and printers on networks.

3. Ethernet: This option allows users to manage their Ethernet networks, see a list of active connections, view detailed information about each connection including device name, MAC address, IP address and DHCP server. It also allows users to view and configure Network Bridge, Internet Connection Sharing, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) settings.

4. Dial-up: This option enables users to create and configure dial-up connections. Users can set up and save dial-up connections, specify how they connect to the Internet, store passwords, and choose which applications use the connection.

5. Mobile Broadband: This section allows users to configure and manage connections with portable modems, cell phones, and other mobile broadband devices. Users can view detailed information about their connections, control access to mobile networks, and manage mobile data usage.

6. Proxy: This setting allows users to configure a proxy server to access the Internet, bypass censorship, block content, and monitor user activity. They can select from Automatic, Manual, or Direct connection options, setup the proxies for individual connections, and manage authentication settings.

7. Airplane Mode: This option allows users to turn off all wireless networks at once so that their device cannot send or receive signals. This can be useful when trying to conserve battery life, in locations where wireless signals are prohibited, or when flying on an airplane.

8. VPN: This setting allows users to create and manage Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections. They can create private networks to encrypt internet traffic, hide their IP address, and access content that might otherwise be blocked.

9. Network Reset: This tool resets all network-related settings within Windows. It deletes all existing network connections, resets network adapters and protocols, and restores all network settings back to their defaults.
