Where can I find the Windows firewall settings?

Windows Firewall settings can be accessed in two ways: through the Windows Desktop or through the Control Panel.

Desktop

Open the Start menu and click on the Settings icon. In the Settings window, select Update & Security followed by Windows Security. Selecting Firewall & Network Protection will open the Windows Defender Firewall settings with options for both public and private networks.

Control Panel

Open the Control Panel by searching for it in the Start menu. Navigate to System & Security > Windows Defender Firewall. Here you will find a summary of the firewall status, with the option to turn it on or off. You can also open Advanced Settings to customize the rules, or click the “Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall” link to specify the programs that are allowed access. Clicking the “Restore defaults” link will reset the firewall to its original settings.
