How do I modify my sound settings in the Control Panel?

1. To modify your sound settings in the Control Panel, first open the Control Panel window by clicking the Start menu or searching for it from the Cortana search bar.

2. In the Control Panel window, select “Hardware and Sound”.

3. Under the “Sound” option, click “Manage audio devices”.

4. This will open the Sound window, from where you can view and manage all of the audio devices connected to your computer.

5. From the “Playback” tab, select the device you wish to modify and click “Properties”.

6. In the properties window, you can adjust the settings of the audio device.

7. On this window you will be able to modify the volume, balance, Echo Cancellation, Bass Boost and more.

8. Additionally, you can test the sound of the device to ensure it is acceptable before making changes to the settings.

9. To access the advanced audio settings, click the “Advanced” tab.

10. Here you can adjust the sampling frequency, bit rate, and other settings.

11. Be sure to click “OK” when you are done to save the changes you have made.

12. You can also use the Control Panel to set your default audio device.

13. To do this, open the Sound window and select the device you want to use from the list.

14. Then, at the bottom of the window, check the box next to “Set as Default Device”.

15. Click “OK” when you are finished to apply the changes.

16. You can now close the Control Panel as your audio settings have been successfully modified.
