To adjust sound and audio settings in Windows Control Panel, open the Control Panel by clicking on Start and then selecting Control Panel.
In the Control Panel window, select “Hardware and Sound.” This will open the Sound window, which will list all available sound devices on your computer.
Select the device for which you want to adjust settings and click the “Properties” button on the bottom of the window. On the ensuing window, click on the “Enhancements” tab.
On the Enhancements tab, you can then check any of the features to change your audio settings. These include Bass Boost, Virtual Surround Sound, Loudness Equalization, Room Correction, and many others. Adjusting these may improve the sound quality of your audio.
You can also access two additional tabs on this menu where you can further customize your audio settings. The first tab is called “Advanced”, which provides several options for adjusting the sound, such as sample rate, format, and speaker setup.
The second tab is known as the “Levels” tab, which will allow you to control the volume of your audio devices. You can adjust the volume slider to increase or decrease the volume of your audio device.
Once you finish adjusting your audio settings, click on the “Apply” button to save your changes and then click on “OK” to close the window. Your audio settings should now be adjusted according to your preferences.
If you have multiple audio devices, you’ll need to repeat this process for each one. You can also access sound and audio settings from the main Windows Control Panel window by clicking on the “Sound” icon in the upper left-hand corner.
Adjusting sound and audio settings in Windows Control Panel is a fairly straightforward process. It may take some time to adjust all of the settings to your preference, but it is well worth the effort when you get the optimal audio experience from your computer.
