How can I check my PC’s start-up items and disable unnecessary ones?

You can use the System Configuration tool (msconfig.exe) to view and manage the programs that run at startup. To access this utility, press the Windows key + R and type msconfig, then press Enter. This will open up the System Configuration window. From here you can select the Startup tab to view a list of all the applications set to launch when you boot up your PC. You can then select any of the applications you want to disable and click “Disable.” Once you’ve finished, make sure to click “OK” to save your changes.
