Adding Programs to the Windows Control Panel
Windows Control Panel allows you to access and manage settings for Windows applications, including programs that are installed on your computer. You can easily add new programs to the Windows Control Panel, either from the Windows Store or from other sources, in a few easy steps.
1. Start by opening the Windows Control Panel. You can do this by clicking on Start > Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel window, select “Programs” or “Programs and Features”. If you are using an older version of Windows, you may see “Add or Remove Programs” instead.
3. Under the “Programs” or “Programs and Features” section, look for the “Add or Remove Programs” link. Click on it.
4. A list of programs currently installed on your computer will appear. Look for the “Add New Programs” link on the left side of the window.
5. When you click on the “Add New Programs” link, you will see several options. Choose the one that best fits your needs, such as “Add Program from the Windows Store” or “Add Program from a CD or DVD-ROM”.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Removing Programs From the Windows Control Panel
If you want to remove a program from your computer, you can also do it through the Windows Control Panel. It is important to keep your computer free of unnecessary programs, so it runs more efficiently.
1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Select “Programs” or “Programs and Features”. If you are using an older version of Windows, you may see “Add or Remove Programs” instead.
3. Under the “Programs” or “Programs and Features” section, look for the “Add or Remove Programs” link. Click on it.
4. A list of programs currently installed on your computer will appear. Look for the program you want to remove and select it.
5. Click on the “Uninstall” button. You may be asked to confirm the uninstallation. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.
6. If you are asked to restart your computer after uninstalling the program, do so. This will ensure that all changes are applied properly.
