Adding a Program
1. Open the Control Panel by clicking on the Start button and selecting “Control Panel”.
2. Depending on your version of Windows, you will either be presented with categories or an icon view. If you are in categories view, click on the “Programs” category, then select “Programs and Features”. If you are in icon view, find the icon labeled “Programs and Features”.
3. On the left hand side of the Programs and Features window, you will see several options. Click on the “Add or Remove Programs” link.
4. You will now be presented with a list of programs installed on your computer. To install a new program, click on the “Add New Programs” link at the top or the “Add or Remove Windows Components” link at the bottom.
5. If you clicked on the “Add New Programs” link, you will be presented with a wizard to guide you through the installation process. Follow the steps to choose and install your new program.
6. Once the installation is complete, you will be returned to the list of installed programs. Your newly installed program should appear in the list.
Removing a Program
1. Open the Control Panel by clicking on the Start button and selecting “Control Panel”.
2. Depending on your version of Windows, you will either be presented with categories or an icon view. If you are in categories view, click on the “Programs” category, then select “Programs and Features”. If you are in icon view, find the icon labeled “Programs and Features”.
3. On the left hand side of the Programs and Features window, you will see several options. Click on the “Add or Remove Programs” link.
4. You will now be presented with a list of programs installed on your computer. Find the program that you want to uninstall and click on it.
5. You will now be presented with an option to uninstall the program. Click on the “Uninstall” button to begin the uninstallation process.
6. Follow the instructions to uninstall the program. Once the uninstallation is complete, the program will no longer appear in the list of installed programs.
