How do I change my system’s time and date?

Changing the time and date of your system is easy and the process will depend on your operating system. In this article, we’ll cover the steps for Windows 10 and Mac OS.

Windows 10

1. Click the Start button and select the Time & language icon.

2. Select Date & time from the left-hand menu.

3. In the top right corner, select Change date and time. You can also select Change time zone if you need to update the time zone.

4. Enter the new time and date information.

5. Select OK when done.

Mac OS

1. Open System Preferences.

2. Select Date & Time from the top row of icons.

3. Check the box next to Set date and time automatically and select the time zone that you want to use if it’s not already set.

4. To manually change the time and date, simply enter the correct information into the fields provided.

5. Select OK when finished.

Remember, you can always revert back to the default settings by unchecking the Set date and time automatically box.

For both Windows and Mac, the changes will be saved automatically. You can check to make sure the time and date have been updated properly by opening up the clock application. If you’re having trouble with the date or time settings, you can also try resetting your system’s clock to factory settings.
