How do I change my wallpaper in the Windows control panel?

1. Click on the Start menu in the lower-left corner of your screen.

2. Select Control Panel from the list of options.

3. Once the Control Panel window opens, select Personalization or Appearance and Themes (depending upon your version of Windows).

4. Click on the Desktop background option at the bottom of the window.

5. In the Desktop Background window that appears, you can browse through the available wallpapers, or you can click the Browse button to find a wallpaper image on your computer that you want to use. Once you’ve found the image you want, select it and then click the Open button.

6. The wallpaper preview will appear at the top of the Desktop Background window. Select how you want the wallpaper to display on your screen by clicking the drop-down menu next to Position. The options include Fill, Fit, Scale, Tile, Center, and Stretch.

7. Click the Save Changes button to apply the new wallpaper to your desktop.

8. Exit the Control Panel and your new wallpaper should now be visible on the desktop. If not, try restoring down or minimizing the open windows to see if it is hidden.
