To modify user accounts through the Windows control panel, you will need to first open the control panel. This can be done by searching for “control panel” in the Windows search bar, or by accessing it via the Start Menu. Once the control panel is open, navigate to “User Accounts and Family Safety”.
Under this section, there should be an option labelled “Manage another account”. Click on this option. This will bring up a list of all the user accounts that are currently setup on your computer. By selecting one of these accounts, it will allow you to manage the settings associated with each individual user.
When you have chosen an account to modify, a new window will open. Here you will be able to change the picture associated with that user account, the name, and any other settings associated with the account. To change the picture, click the “Change Picture” button. This will open a window where you can choose from a list of images, or you can upload your own image to use as the user’s account picture.
You can also modify the name of the account by clicking the “Change name” button. In the new window that appears, you can enter a new name for the account. Be sure to click the “Change Name” button once you have entered the new name, so that it will be applied to the account.
The next section allows you to modify the password associated with the user account. To change the password, click the “Change Password” button. This will open a window where you can enter the new password, and then re-enter it to confirm. Once you have entered the new password, click the “Change Password” button.
The next section will allow you to modify the parental controls associated with the account. You can set time limits, restrict access to certain websites, or block inappropriate content. To modify the parental controls associated with the account, click the “Set Parental Controls” button. This will open a window where you can make changes to the settings.
Finally, you can also change the user type associated with the account. The user type will determine which features and access the user has. To change the user type, click the “Change User Type” button. This will open a window where you can select the user type that you want associated with the account, such as administrator or standard user.
Once you have made all of the changes that you wanted to make to the user account, click the “Save” button to save the changes. This will apply the changes that you have made to the user account.
Modifying user accounts through the Windows control panel is a fairly simple process, and it allows you to customize each user account to fit the individual needs of that person. This can be especially helpful when setting up a family computer or setting up accounts for multiple users.
