You can save a text file by opening the program you used to create the file and resulting in a file menu. From there, select the “Save” option or “Save As” option and choose the desired file name and location where you would like to save the file. You may also have the option to select the type of format for the saved file, such as .txt or .rtf. Once you click “Save,” your text file should be saved.
