Unzipping a file in Windows is easy and can be done with a few clicks. In order to unzip a file, follow the steps listed below:
1. Locate the zipped folder that you want to unzip (extract) files or folders from.
2. To unzip the entire folder, right-click (or press and hold) it, select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
3. To unzip a single file or folder, double-click the zipped folder to open it. Then, drag or copy the item from the zipped folder to a new location.
4. If your system has the compressed file extension associated with WinZip program, just double-click on the file. This will launch the WinZip program.
5. Alternatively, you can right-click the file, select Open With and choose the WinZip program from the list.
6. The WinZip window opens, displaying the contents of the zipped folder.
7. Click the Extract button and choose a location or folder where you want to extract the files or folders.
8. You can also open the files directly from the WinZip window by double-clicking on the item.
9. Once you finished working with the zipped file, you may close the WinZip window.
10. That’s it! Your zipped file will now be extracted to the specified location.
