To customize the desktop background in Control Panel, follow these steps:
1. Open Control Panel by typing “Control Panel” into the Windows search bar and selecting the appropriate option.
2. Once the Control Panel window opens, select the “Appearance and Personalization” option.
3. Next, select the “Change Desktop Background” option located in the left sidebar.
4. From this window, select the “Picture” or “Solid color” option and then click “Browse” at the bottom of the window.
5. A window will open, allowing you to select the image you’d like to use as your background. Select and open the image file you wish to use.
6. At the top of the window, you’ll see options for adjusting the display style of the wallpaper (fill, fit, stretch, tile, etc.). If desired, you can also select how often Windows should change the background from this window.

8. Finally, return to the Change Desktop Background window. You can select the ‘Show desktop background’ checkbox to enable the background and the ‘Allow changing wallpapers’ checkbox to enable the wallpaper switching option.
